The Imposcar3 from GForce Software is an impressive continuation of the tradition of the British synthesiser OSCar and offers a variety of functions that make it a powerful tool in music production. At the heart of Imposcar3 lies the design of the legendary OSCar, whose hybrid architecture combines the precision of digital oscillators with the warmth of analogue filters. This allows for a wide range of sonic possibilities, from expansive, lush pads to resonant bells and precise leads.

The Imposcar3’s unique filters are a core feature that gives the synthesiser its remarkable character and quality. With different configurations of low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filters in 2-pole or 4-pole versions, as well as various parallel configurations, users can create formant-like textures, phasing and resonance effects that extend tonal control and expand sonic possibilities.
One of the biggest new features in Imposcar3 is the brand new wavetable oscillator, which contains over 150 presets. Users can design their own custom wavetables or draw the partials additively. Wavetable switching provides a simple but effective way to explore new tones within a selected patch while retaining the core characteristics of the original sound.
Other new features include fully editable 256-step wavetables, which can be drawn as shapes or edited as partials, and over 450 new factory patches, bringing the total number to over 1800. Imposcar3 also features four new macros, a new reverb, an improved layout, a customisable LFO editor, aftertouch control, undo and redo functions and a fully scalable user interface.
The Imposcar3 remains compatible with the patches of its predecessor Imposcar2, meaning that users can seamlessly transfer their existing sounds to the new version. This synthesiser is not only a tribute to a classic, but also a modern instrument that pushes the boundaries of sound design and offers producers and musicians new creative freedom.
Gforce Oberheim DMX
The GForce Oberheim DMX plugin: travelling back in time to the future of rhythms
Music production is an art form that is constantly changing, but some sounds remain timeless. The GForce Oberheim DMX Plugin is a tribute to the legendary drum machine of the 80s that has been revived in modern music production. This plugin is not only a revival of the past, but also a stepping stone to the future of rhythmic creation.

GForce Software’s DMX plugin is an ode to the iconic drum machine that created the rhythmic foundation for countless classic tracks. From New Order’s “Blue Monday” to Madonna’s “Holiday”, the Oberheim DMX’s influences are unmistakable and continue to shape the soundscape of popular music today.
The GForce Oberheim DMX plugin gives users access to the authentic sounds of the original machine, carefully recreated for crystal-clear quality without losing its classic soul. The plugin offers an intuitive user interface that invites both beginners and seasoned professionals to experiment and express their creativity.
The functions of the DMX plugin are extensive and offer modern control over the classic sound. Users can customise each channel individually, with full control over pan, solo, mute, pitch, decay, analogue delay send and lush reverb send. A multimode filter, distortion and compressor are available on the master channel to add depth, warmth and punch and shape the overall sound with precision.
The plugin features a fully scalable GUI, a learn function for MIDI CCs and a separate velocity control. A preset browser with over 60 pre-programmed kits and 85 MIDI files with beats based on classic models makes it easy to get started and inspires new creations. The sounds react to velocity, and there are two send effects – delay and reverb – which can also be controlled per track to give users the opportunity to create their own characteristic sound.
What is currently sorely missed are individual outputs. This will hopefully be added in a future version.
The GForce Oberheim DMX plugin is more than just an instrument; it’s a tool that allows producers and musicians to reshape the rhythmic foundations of timeless tracks and integrate them into their own modern productions. It represents a fascinating fusion of the past and the future that makes the hearts of music lovers beat faster and pushes the boundaries of what is rhythmically possible.
