- New Oscillators: Falcon 3 adds three new oscillator types, each with a unique sonic character. VOSIM pays homage to vintage vocal synthesis, creating complex voices from simple pulses. Bowed String is a bow and string simulator that creates realistic or abstract string instruments. Harmonic Resonator is a multi-layered exciter that feeds 6 tunable resonators that can generate harmonic or disharmonic overtones.
- New effects: Falcon 3 expands its effects library with four new units that can refine or transform your sound. Opal is a physically modelled optical compressor that has a warm and musical sound. Ladder is a classic East Coast filter that produces a fat and resonant sound. Dispersor is a unique transient shaper that can make your sound crisper or softer. Harmonic Resonator is a tunable resonator bank effect that follows the same principle as the oscillator of the same name.
- New performance scripts: Falcon 3 offers three new scripts that can enrich and inspire your playing style. Node Arp is a polyphonic arpeggiator based on a node network that you can design yourself. Motion Grid is a two-dimensional sequencer that uses motion and randomness to create dynamic patterns. Snowflakes is a generative algorithm that creates delicate and ethereal melodies.
- New workflow features: Falcon 3 makes it easier than ever to organise and manage your projects. Workspaces allow you to effortlessly switch between custom UI layouts that you can create for different tasks. MIDI Out allows you to control external software and hardware instruments and effects with Falcon’s rich library of scripts and sequencers. Improved MPE support allows you to utilise Falcon’s expressive capabilities with compatible controllers. Programme Templates help you kick-start the creative process with numerous starting points. The new Startup Screen helps you to quickly launch recently opened projects and programme templates. And finally, the complete Factory Library of over 1500 presets has been overhauled, with improved macros and brand new UIs.
Two new extensions for Falcon 3
In addition to the free update for existing users and SonicPass subscribers, UVI has also released two new extensions for Falcon 3: Modular Noise and Organic Pads.
Modular Noise is a collection of over 200 presets inspired by a modular synthesiser. This extension offers a variety of sounds, from percussive elements to atmospheric textures and melodic sequences. Modular Noise fully utilises Falcon’s modulation capabilities and offers you a wealth of parameters to create your own modular adventures.
Organic Pads is a collection of over 100 presets derived from organic and acoustic sources. This extension offers you smooth and soothing sounds that are perfect for ambient, chillout or soundtrack music. Organic Pads makes the most of Falcon’s sampling and synthesis capabilities and offers you a range of macros to shape your own organic landscapes.
